Hey Sis!
Let me ask you something; how are you really doing? No, I mean how are you? I know as women, we wear so many hats; whether it’s being a mom, a wife, working, or just trying to keep everything together. It’s easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of life and forget about taking care of the one person who matters most; you. Today, I want to share my heart with you about something that has been so important on my journey: finding balance and taking control of our health, spiritually and physically.
Balance is a Gift from God.First, Sis, we have to acknowledge that balance isn’t something we achieve on our own. It’s a gift from God. Proverbs 3:6 says, “In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” God desires to help us balance our lives, but we have to lean on Him for guidance. When we feel like the scales are tipping, it’s a gentle reminder to pause and seek Him.
Health is More Than Just Physical.When we talk about health, it’s easy to focus on the physical; what we eat, how we move, and what the scale says. But health is holistic, Sis. Our spiritual, mental, and emotional well-being is just as important as our physical health. You can be fit, eat clean, and work out daily, but if your spirit is weary, you’re not truly healthy. Remember what 3 John 1:2 says, “I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.”
Making Time for Your Well-being.Balance requires intentionality. I know, easier said than done, right? But Sis, we have to make time to fill our own cups. That means carving out moments for prayer, reflection, moving our bodies, and doing things that restore our souls. One thing I’ve learned is that even 5 minutes of intentional self-care can make a huge difference in how I approach the day. Whether it’s a quiet time with the Lord, stretching, or sipping tea while reflecting on His goodness; those moments matter.
Practical Tips for Balance:
Prioritize Your Day with Prayer: Start each morning by seeking God’s guidance for your day. He’ll help you set the right priorities.
Move with Purpose: Whether it’s a quick walk or a workout, do it with the mindset that you’re caring for the temple God gave you.
Embrace Rest: Yes, Sis, rest is essential. Even God rested on the seventh day! Take time to recharge so you can pour into others from a place of fullness.
Set Boundaries: It's okay to say no. Creating healthy boundaries is part of maintaining balance and protecting your peace.
Stay Connected to the Word: The Bible is our source of strength and wisdom. Read it daily to stay grounded, no matter what life throws at you.
It’s Okay to Not Have It All Together.Sis, there will be days when you feel like you’re failing at this whole “balance and health” thing. That’s okay! We’re all works in progress, and God’s grace covers our weaknesses. Remember that His strength is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Lean into that grace, and take each day one step at a time.
You’re Not Alone in This.As we walk this journey together, I want you to know that you’re not alone. We all struggle with finding balance, but with God’s help and the right mindset, we can thrive in all areas of our health. It’s not about perfection, Sis, it’s about progress. It’s about taking small, meaningful steps toward becoming the woman God has called you to be.
So, let’s commit to this journey of balance and health together. Let’s show ourselves the grace that God so freely gives us, and let’s make time for our well-being;
spirit, mind, and body. You’ve got this, Sis, and God’s got you.
With love and balance,
Coach K
